I first started practising yoga more than 30 years ago as I transitioned from dancer to law student. I was immediately enchanted by this ancient practice that brought so many obvious benefits. Over the years I came to rely on my yoga practice. Not only to iron out my body each week but also to develop my self-awareness and to seek internal peace as an antidote to stress. Yoga has become my source of sanity, my mental-touchstone that I can take with me wherever I go and for as long as I live. As the mother of three active sons, I found my yoga more useful than ever and am now loving sharing my passion and knowledge.

I have studied many ‘styles’ of yoga and in 2010 completed my full teaching qualifications through the Byron Yoga Centre with Judy Krupp and John Ogilvie. My primary influence is the Yoga Synergy style as developed and taught by Simon Borg Olivier and Bianca Machliss at their school in Bondi Junction. This style is based on ancient Hatha yoga as adapted for modern bodies and lifestyles, and I thank Simon and Bianca for the incredible knowledge they have shared with me over the years. I have completed Yoga Synergy’s Applied Anatomy and Physiology course and continue to layer my studies with courses from renowned teachers such as Donna Farhi, Yogeswari, Sarah Powers (Insight Yoga), AG and Indra Mohan, James Fox (trauma-informed yoga) and Cyndi Lee and visits to India to further explore yogic philosophy. I am also grateful for the teachings and wisdom shared with me by mindfulness meditation teacher John Barter.
